So what happens once you're
decided to have some pictures taken?
Typically, a photoshoot takes a couple of hours. I'll arrive at your
home with studio flash equipment , we'll do the shoot - normally two or three
different 'sets', using a top quality digital SLR camera & lenses & if
necessary, portable back-drops. Once the flash kit has cooled down, I'll pack up & go
home! Within a week or so, you'll receive a CD with copies of the edited pics for your
own use. However, before any of that happens:-
We'll have discussed and agreed the level of shoot you want to do. With amateurs and beginners, it's usual
to start at perhaps lingerie or implied nude, but remember the choice is
YOURS - I will not encourage you to reveal more in the photographs than you want
to. Bear in mind that with implied nudity, the photographer will
inevitably see more of you than is visible in the pictures taken. As you gain
confidence, you might decide to reveal more - again, remember that YOU will have
control of what happens to the pictures, so you can be daring without the risk
of your pictures turning up in next month's Razzle.
We'll have discussed the sort of 'sets' you're interested in, what outfits to
wear (or not wear!), what rooms/ backdrops we'll use. We may change these plans
as the shoot progresses - one of the main advantages of working at your
home is that we can be totally flexible & not dependant on the suitcase-full
of gear you would have brought with you had we used a studio or hotel for the
shoot.
You will, if you wish, have checked my references, and
you certainly will have
organised a chaperone to be around during the shoot (preferably not in the same
room, but definitely on the premises). This is for everyone's safety
& peace of mind
We'll have discussed the model release form
so that everyone is happy with
the control of the images produced.
You will have proved you're over 18 years of age
The first shoot can be a bit nerve-wracking, not only because it might be the
first time you've taken your clothes off in front of a complete stranger before
(apart from perhaps your doctor) - but we'll handle that in a totally
professional manner. As the model, you should find the process fun, exciting
& stimulating - and remember - you're in control of the poses (perhaps with
a little bit of advice), you decide what can be seen, and ultimately, you will
decide exactly who else sees the images. So all you have to do is relax, be
natural and look beautiful.........
